Our ingenious solutions in this market include pneumatic conveying of recyclable edge cuttings, web dust handling and air handling of a variety of different paper related materials, including foils and printing papers. We have developed ways to improve web quality by picking up slitter dust at the nip point.
Compass can also double the width of parent rolls handled by our pneumatic trim system, eliminating butt rolls in the process.
We have also developed the innovative Ellis Coil Separator to more easily separate and handle heavy cut-to-size rolls of paper, foils, metals and woven products.

DESIGN & ENGINEER
Developing innovative solutions in this market often means transporting materials over long distances, as well as mastering the use of sophisticated controls. Both are Compass strengths. Our slitter dust solution is an especially innovative way to capture dust at the nip point and remove it from the web surface without damage, improving web quality in the process.

Fabrication
